Job Description Summary:

The Companion/Homemaker provides companionship to those individuals requiring socialization and/or minimum guidance to assure a protected environment and performs non-medical home management services within clients home.


  • Follow non-medical service plan
  • Assists in planning nutritious meals, purchasing and preparing meals (Check expiration dates)
  • Perform laundry including linen
  • Light housekeeping including dusting, vacuuming, dishes and other household duties as requested.
  • Escort with medical appointments, shopping, recreational and religious activities
  • Medication reminders
  • Keep client active and socially engaged by conversation, listening, reading, playing games, cards and/or other things they may be interested in doing willingly.
  • One on one companionship
  • Remain professional at all times



  • Must have a passion in assisting others
  • Must be dependable, trustworthy, and punctual
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience
  • Certified in CPR/First aide
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Citizen or Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Pass FDLE Background Screening
  • Pass Drug Screening
  • Auto Insurance
  • Able to bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, sit, stand and walk for extended periods at a time
  • Able to lift 20lbs
  • Flexible
  • Team player
  • Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
  • Ensures safety, confidentiality and security of the client's medical information
